Houston gets defender Katie Naughton and the 18th overall pick in the 2020 NWSL College Draft.
Houston Dash forward Kealia Ohai heads to the Chicago Red Stars in a deal that was announced in early January 2020. In exchange for Ohai, Houson receives defender Katie Naughton and Chicago’s 18th overall pick in the 2020 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) College Draft.
Ohai was selected second overall in the 2014 NWSL College Draft by Houston and made 114 appearances for the Dash, scoring 28 goals. In 2016, Ohai finished the regular season tied with the North Carolina Courage’s Lynn Williams in goals, but the league’s Golden Boot award went to Williams who had more assists. She was named to the NWSL Best XI in 2016.
Naughton was drafted 19th overall by Chicago in the 2016 NWSL College Draft and appeared in 88 matches for the Red Stars and scored one goal.
