Sky Blue FC midfielder Allie Long said she’s looking forward to going to Turkey in March with her new team as the club heads to the city of Antalya to play in a preseason tournament against LdB FC Malmö, FK Energiya, and Fortuna Hjørring. “I’m so hyped. I’ve never been to Turkey and pretty sure you wouldn’t catch me buying tickets to go on vacation there, but to be able to go with some of my closest friends while playing soccer is something I’m truly thankful for.”
Long signed with Sky Blue FC this offseason after playing two seasons with the Washington Freedom.
“We are going to the Riviera, which I heard is beautiful,” Long added. “It is on the coast so maybe after all the hard work we put in, we can lay by the beach, but who would ever want to do all that.”
