Russia 1–6 Denmark
Pernille Harder opened the scoring after converting the penalty in the 25th minute. Russia equalized just before the break when Margarita Chernomyrdina scored. In the second half, the Danes got it going after Harder added one in the 59th minute. Nicoline Sørensen got on the board in the 70th minute and Harder finished the hat trick two minutes later. Sarah Hansen added in a brace in the 82nd and 89th minutes.
Canada 0–0 Portugal
The hosts did well against a largely first-choice Canadian team that needed only a point for a place in the final.
Norway 0–2 Japan
Kumi Yokoyama’s brace (59′,89′) propelled Japan to its second win of the tournament and a matchup against the Netherlands for fifth place.
Iceland 0–0 Spain
Spain turned a few heads with wins over Japan and Norway in the tournament. The draw earned La Roja a place in the final against defending champs Canada.
China PR 1–2 Australia
Wang Shanshan put China on the board in the 36th minute. Australia turned it on in the second off of goals by Emily Gielnik (61′) and Ellie Carpenter (84′).
Sweden 0–1 Netherlands
A lackluster tournament for Sweden ends with a loss. The Netherlands, though, finished tied on points with group winner Australia and will face Japan in the match for fifth place.
