Former Atlanta Beat players Kristina Larsen and Vendula Strnadova find new home

On Tuesday, Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) announced that the Atlanta Beat had released forward Kristina Larsen and midfielder Vendula Strnadova. Late Wednesday night, Orange County Waves General Manager Terry Foley confirmed that the Waves, of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), signed both Larsen and Strnadova.

Larsen led WPS in shots (14) and shots on goal (10), but had yet to score a goal in six games. The former UCLA star played 331 minutes for the Beat this season, starting three games. Strnadova played, the 2010 Conference USA Midfielder of the Year and All-American at the University of Memphis, played in two games (32 minutes) for the Beat this season.
