After nearly two months of speculation and rumors as to which players would end up on magicTalk SC/Washington Freedom, Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) officially announced a number of signings Thursday and Friday. Shannon Boxx, Marian Dalmy, Ella Masar, Rebecca Moros, Christie Rampone, Lindsay Tarpley, and Kacey White have all signed with magicTalk SC.
The last remaining piece of the puzzle is where the team will play. According to owner Dan Borislow, the team will play some of its games in Florida and some in the Washington, D.C., area, but no venues have been named. In other WPS news Friday, Atlanta Beat signed Lori Chalupny, Colleen Flanagan, Megan Jesolva, Kristina Larsen, Meghan Lenczyk, Carli Lloyd, Katherine Reynolds, Lauren Sesselmann, India Trotter, and Kylie Wright.
