The magicTalk SC/Washington Freedom’s general manager and head coach were revealed during Friday’s WPS Draft. Christie Rampone’s signing was officially announced Monday, and one additional player – Lindsay Tarpley – will soon join the team.
At the WPS Draft, magicTalk SC/Washington Freedom General Manager Briana Scurry didn’t mention names, but sources have confirmed that Tarpley will sign with the team. Scurry, who sat alongside magicTalk SC/Washington Freedom Head Coach Mike Lyons during the draft at the Freedom table, did say the team will soon make an official announcement of player signings, possibly as early as this week. She also said the team will play half of its home games in South Florida at a location to be determined.
