According to LdB FC Malmö club director Niclas Carlnén, his club has had contact with the agent representing Brazilian forward, current Women’s Professional Soccer free agent, and five time FIFA World Player of the Year, Marta. LdB FC Malmö won the Damallsvenskan championship in 2010, and Marta was in Sweden in November to watch the club play.
Marta is currently on loan with Santos FC in Brazil and this week is playing with Santos in the Torneio Internacional Interclubes in Araraquara, São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to Malmö, Damallsvenskan clubs Tyresö and Pitea have expressed interest in Marta.
