Letter from the Editor

Dear Our Game Readers,

After more than two years as the sole global women’s soccer English-language print magazine in the world, it is with great excitement and anticipation that we confirm changes for 2013.

We are proud to announce the switch to a quarterly publication. The change is coming at a time where we feel we can produce more in-depth content with a focus on the magazine, better customer service and the much-requested annual subscription package.

Our website will be undergoing changes to include a more personal view of the game, with columnists that are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people involved in women’s soccer. We will have a comprehensive list of scores, tables and schedules in addition to our colorful commentary.

To be honest, we got bored. We were dissatisfied with our coverage during the past year. We stopped focusing on our strengths. And as a result, we feel like we have underperformed.

As the editor, I feel a strong responsibility to provide women’s soccer fans with a legitimate and professionally produced magazine that they can call their own. The new year will bring a higher quality product than we have ever offered in the past: a full-color, glossy magazine delivered to your doorstep four times a year. The website will be more compact and easier to navigate. And you’ll get to know editors and columnists as individuals and members of the women’s soccer community, because we are right there with you.

When soccer players play with passion, it doesn’t go unnoticed. When people do things they love, others take notice, especially if they’re good at it. We hope to provide a better experience for our readers in something they can marvel at.

If you’ve been with us from the start, we thank you for your continued support and feedback. And we know we have a lot of people to thank for not only supporting, but contributing, promoting and believing.

If you’re new and want to give OGM a try, you won’t regret it.

This is my promise to you that we’re in it for the long haul. We’re not using women’s soccer as a stepping stone to something better.  We are here to make women’s soccer the “better.” We are here to give the players what they deserve in a way that most media doesn’t think is worth it.

We are here to present Our Game the way it should be presented.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Weimer
