According to Brazil coach Kleiton Lima, Cristiane broke her shoulder Thursday night during Brazil’s game against Mexico in the Torneio Internacional Cidade de Sao Paulo. She will miss the rest of the tournament and the last two months of her contract with Santos FC. The Brazilian NT doctor will look at Cristiane’s MRI today to see if her shoulder will need surgery. If it does, she will have the surgery as soon as possible to have time enough to recover for the World Cup, since the recovery time with the surgery is four months.  If she doesn’t need surgery, the recovery time will be two months.
